The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has dismissed media reports speculating about the international future of India captain Rohit Sharma, confirming that he will continue to represent the national team.
BCCI Secretary Devajit Saikia rejected claims that the third and final One-Day International (ODI) against England at Lord’s in London would be Rohit’s last international appearance. He clarified that no discussions regarding the veteran batter’s retirement have taken place.
The BCCI’s statement puts an end to speculation surrounding Rohit’s future, reaffirming that the Indian skipper remains available for national selection beyond the ongoing ODI series against England.
