CM Dr Manik Saha attends passing out parade of 92nd batch police constables at RK Nagar

Agartala, July 18: Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha on Saturday attended the passing out parade of the 92nd batch of police constables (men) at RK Nagar and congratulated the newly trained personnel for successfully completing their course. He said their induction into the force marks the beginning of a new responsibility towards society, where discipline, honesty and public service must remain the guiding principles.
Addressing the parade, Dr. Saha said the police uniform is not merely a symbol of authority, but also of duty, courage and trust. He urged the new constables to serve the people with sincerity, sensitivity and professionalism, especially at a time when law enforcement requires both firmness and a humane approach. He noted that the Tripura Police has earned respect through its role in maintaining peace, law and order, and in combating insurgency and other challenges over the years. The Chief Minister also stressed the importance of continuous training and modernisation in policing.
He said the state government is working to strengthen the police force through better training, upgraded skills and technology-based policing. He added that officers must remain prepared to deal with cybercrime, traffic regulation, disaster response and community policing in an effective manner. Dr. Saha thanked the trainers and officials who guided the new batch and helped shape them into disciplined personnel. He expressed confidence that the young constables would uphold the values of integrity, dedication and service, and contribute meaningfully to building a safer and more secure Tripura.
