Tripura Police Reshuffles 12 Officers in Major Transfer Order

The Tripura Police Headquarters on Wednesday issued a major reshuffle of police personnel, transferring and posting 12 officers across various police stations and units in the state with immediate effect.
According to PHQ Order No. 79/2026, issued in the public interest by the Director General of Police (DGP), the transfers include several Officers-in-Charge (OCs) of key police stations in West Tripura, South Tripura, Khowai and Sepahijala districts.
Among the prominent changes, Inspector Sanjit Sen, Officer-in-Charge of Belonia Police Station, has been transferred as OC of West Agartala Police Station, replacing Inspector Rana Chatterjee, who has been posted as OC of Amtali Police Station.
Inspector Krishnadhan Sarkar has been shifted from Khowai Police Station to take charge as OC of East Agartala Police Station, while Inspector Paritosh Das moves from Amtali Police Station to NCC Police Station.
Other transfers include Inspector Bishnu Chandra Das from Baikhora Police Station to Srinagar Police Station, Inspector Subimal Barman to Belonia Police Station, Inspector Arunodaya Das to Baikhora Police Station, and Inspector Prajit Malakar to Khowai Police Station.
The order also includes transfers involving women police officers. Inspector Shipra Bala Chanda has been posted to the Tripura Police Control Branch (TPCB), Inspector Munna Majumder has been transferred to South District, Sub-Inspector Mousumi Datta has been posted to Bishalgarh Women Police Station, while Sub-Inspector Ripita Bhattacharjee has been transferred to West Agartala Women Police Station.
The transfer order, signed by the Director General of Police, Tripura, came into effect immediately.
