Sushanta Chowdhury Honours Young Achievers, Highlights Role of Youth in Nation Building

Minister for Food, Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs, Transport and Tourism, Sushanta Chowdhury on Wednesday honoured meritorious students at the "Maharani Tulsibati Kriti Vidyarthi Sanman" programme, emphasising that the country's brightest young minds will play a pivotal role in building a self-reliant, developed and prosperous India.
The programme, organised by the Agartala city unit of the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP), was held to mark State Student Day and the organisation's 78th Foundation Day.
In his address, Chowdhury praised the students for their academic excellence, perseverance, discipline and dedication, describing them as the nation's greatest strength. He said the honoured students are not only a source of pride for their families and educational institutions but also symbols of India's immense potential and future.
The minister stressed that encouraging young talent, supporting their aspirations and instilling values of integrity, responsibility and patriotism is a collective duty of society. He expressed confidence that the recognition would inspire the students to pursue greater achievements while contributing to the progress of society and the nation through knowledge and selfless service.
Referring to Prime Minister Narendra Modi's vision of "Viksit Bharat 2047," Chowdhury said the dream of a developed India can only be realised through an educated, value-driven and patriotic younger generation. He noted that the collective aspirations of over 140 crore Indians would be fulfilled through the dedication and leadership of today's students, who will shape the nation's future.
The minister also congratulated the award recipients and wished them success in their academic and professional journeys, urging them to continue striving for excellence while serving the nation with commitment and integrity.
