IIT Kharagpur, Tripura Govt, and Senrysa Ink Tripartite MoU for AI Centre of Excellence

Agartala, Jul 15: IIT Kharagpur, the Department of IT, Government of Tripura, and Senrysa Technologies Ltd. signed a Tripartite MoU at the Destination Tripura Business Conclave 2026 to establish a Centre of Excellence and Innovation Hub in Tripura. The Centre, described as first-of-its-kind in the state, will work to foster AI innovation, research, skills, startups and industry collaboration. The MoU was signed by Prof. Suman Chakraborty, Director, IIT Kharagpur; Kumar P. Saha, MD and CEO, Senrysa Technologies Ltd.; and Jeya Ragul Geshan B., IFS, Director, IT, Government of Tripura.
The agreement was exchanged in the presence of Dr. V. Anantha Nageswaran, Chief Economic Adviser to the Government of India; Jitendra Kumar Sinha, IAS, Chief Secretary, Government of Tripura; and Kiran Gitte, IAS, Secretary, Industries and Commerce and IT, Government of Tripura. According to IIT Kharagpur, the initiative is supported by Chief Minister Manik Saha and is expected to strengthen Tripura's emerging technology ecosystem through AI innovation, research, skill development, startups and industry collaboration in the state.
