Officials inspect flood-affected areas in Mohanpur

Government officials, including Minister Brishaketu Debbarma and former CEM Rabindra Debbarma, conducted an on-ground inspection of flood-affected regions in Esrai Para and Patnipara within the Hezamara RD Block on Saturday to review relief and restoration efforts.
The inspection team, which also included the Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM) of Mohanpur and the Executive Engineer of the Public Works Department (PWD) (R&B), Mohanpur, visited the impacted sites to assess the extent of the damage caused by the recent flooding.
During the visit, the officials met with the affected families to listen to their immediate concerns and understand their requirements as they navigate the aftermath of the flood. In addition to assessing ground conditions, the team reviewed the status of ongoing relief, restoration, and rehabilitation measures currently in place.
Following the assessment, the officials directed the relevant departments to ensure the timely distribution of relief, the prompt restoration of essential services, and the continuous monitoring of the situation.
According to the West Tripura District Administration, authorities remain committed to extending all possible support and ensuring the welfare of every family affected by the floods in the Barkathal area.
