Ratan Lal Nath Announces Tripura’s Organic Export Breakthrough

Tripura has entered the international organic food market with the launch of exports to Dubai through globally renowned retail chain Lulu Retail, a development announced by Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare Minister Ratan Lal Nath on Friday.

Sharing the achievement on his social media handle, Nath said the export initiative marks a major milestone for the state’s agriculture sector and reflects the success of Tripura’s organic farming initiatives. He described it as a proud moment for the state's farmers, whose efforts have earned recognition in global markets.

The first export consignment includes organic aromatic lemons, Kalikhassa aromatic rice and Tripura’s famous Queen pineapples, all produced and supplied by the state’s farmer-producer companies. The minister said the availability of these products through an internationally reputed retail network like Lulu Retail will significantly boost Tripura’s global market presence while creating better income opportunities for farmers.

Highlighting the importance of the initiative, Nath said it demonstrates the growing international acceptance of Tripura’s high-quality organic produce and reinforces the government's commitment to promoting agricultural exports.

The minister congratulated the farmers, farmer-producer companies, officials of the concerned departments and everyone associated with the initiative. He expressed confidence that the achievement would further strengthen the vision of building self-reliant farmers and a prosperous Tripura through sustainable agricultural growth.
