Tripura Lands ₹1.21 Lakh Crore Investment Deals at Tripura Destination Business Conclave 2026

Tripura has attracted investment proposals worth ₹1,21,303 crore after signing 342 Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) at the Tripura Destination Business Conclave 2026, in what officials described as a major milestone for the state’s economic growth.

The two-day investors’ summit, held at the International Fair Ground in Agartala, witnessed participation from several prominent companies, including Google, ITC, Larsen & Toubro (L&T), MRF and Sales-force. The event was aimed at promoting Tripura as an emerging investment destination and creating opportunities across key sectors.

Industries and Commerce Secretary Kiran Gitte while addressing a press conference on Friday said the conclave brought together 45 organisations, including government departments, central agencies and private companies. The event received over 2,700 registrations, with nearly 2,000 investors attending and delegates from around 1,200 organisations participating from across India and abroad.

Representatives from Dubai and Canada attended the summit, along with ambassadors and high commissioners from 10 countries. Delegates from 11 nations, including officials from the Japan Trade Organisation, also took part in discussions with state authorities and industry representatives.

Gitte said the latest agreements add to the state’s investment efforts over the past four years, during which Tripura signed 470 MoUs worth nearly ₹40,000 crore. He added that the state government had organised investor outreach programmes in New Delhi and Hyderabad before the conclave to attract potential investors.

Despite heavy rainfall affecting attendance, the event saw participation from around 300 startups and entrepreneurs from Tripura. Officials highlighted various policy reforms introduced by the state to improve the business environment and promote ease of doing business.
