Systematic Investment Plan (SIP) contributions rose by 2.7 per cent in June to ₹31,781 crore, reflecting continued investor confidence in mutual fund investments. Data released by the Association of Mutual Funds in India (AMFI) also showed that inflows into equity mutual funds surged by more than 26 per cent to ₹28,973 crore in June, up from ₹22,908 crore in May.
Among equity fund categories, mid-cap funds attracted the highest inflows of over ₹6,000 crore. Small-cap funds followed, while flexi-cap, multi-cap and large-cap funds also witnessed healthy investor participation.
Meanwhile, Gold Exchange Traded Funds (ETFs) recorded inflows of ₹3,443 crore in June, reversing the outflow trend seen in previous months. However, debt mutual funds continued to face pressure, registering net outflows of around ₹1.09 lakh crore during the month.
