Rs 114.90 Cr Rural Road Projects Sanctioned for East Tripura: Kriti Devi Debbarman

Agartala, Jul 3: Rural road projects worth more than Rs 114.90 crore have been sanctioned for the Tripura East Parliamentary Constituency by the Union Ministry of Rural Development, MP Kriti Devi Debbarman said in a social media post, adding that the projects would benefit over 40 habitations. Sharing the development, the MP said, "Ever since my election as the Member of Parliament from Tripura East, I have focused on addressing the developmental gaps in our rural and remote regions by strengthening road connectivity and ensuring that the benefits of development reach every village."
She said the proposals had been forwarded and approved before final sanction by the Centre. "I had received proposals and provided my approval for PMGSY road projects across districts of Tripura East Parliamentary Constituency. I am pleased to inform you that these proposals have now been sanctioned by the Ministry of Rural Development, Government of India," she said. According to details accompanying the post, the sanctioned works comprise 40 road projects under the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana (PMGSY), spread across Dhalai, Khowai, North Tripura and Gomati districts, with a combined length of 89.358 km.
The MP said the investment would have a wide impact across rural and tribal pockets of the constituency. "Together, these projects will bring a total investment of over Rs 114.90 crore in our region and will positively impact more than 40 habitations. These roads will pave the way for better connectivity, improved access to education, healthcare and markets, while creating new opportunities for economic growth and improving the quality of life for people living in rural and tribal areas," she said.
She added that coordination with the Centre for further connectivity works remains ongoing. "I am working closely with the Ministry of Rural Development to ensure that every genuine request for rural road connectivity in Tripura East is positively addressed and that infrastructure development continues at an accelerated pace," she said.The MP closed her post with an assurance to constituents. "I assure the people that the Member of Parliament you have elected is working tirelessly, and with your continued support and blessings, I will continue striving to fulfil the aspirations and developmental needs of every citizen of East Tripura Lok Sabha constituency," she said.
