Union Minister Annapurna Devi Hails Women Support Centre in Tripura

Union Minister for Women and Child Development Annapurna Devi on Monday visited the One Stop Centre at Udaipur in Gomati district and praised its efforts in providing comprehensive support and protection to women in distress.
During the visit, the Union Minister interacted with the staff and reviewed the services offered by the centre, including medical assistance, legal aid, psychosocial counselling, and temporary shelter. She commended the commitment of the team and said such centres play a vital role in ensuring the safety, dignity, and empowerment of women.
Highlighting the Centre's commitment to women's welfare, Annapurna Devi said the Narendra Modi-led government is dedicated to strengthening institutional support systems for women across the country, ensuring that those facing violence or hardship receive timely and holistic assistance.
Minister Tinku Roy accompanied the Union Minister during the visit and joined her interactions with officials and beneficiaries.
