Agartala, June 25: The Agartala Battalion of Assam Rifles organised a hands-on training programme for NCC cadets at the Agartala Garrison Ground on Wednesday, providing practical exposure to drone technology and military-style obstacle course training.
The one-day programme aimed to familiarize young cadets with modern defence capabilities while instilling the values of discipline, teamwork and leadership. Under the guidance of Assam Rifles personnel, participants received live demonstrations on drone operations and were given an opportunity to operate unmanned aerial systems, gaining insight into their growing role in surveillance and national security.
The cadets also took part in obstacle course training designed to test their physical endurance, agility and teamwork. The exercises emphasized grit, perseverance and discipline, which are considered core values of the Assam Rifles.
The programme witnessed enthusiastic participation from NCC cadets, who actively engaged in both training modules and expressed keen interest in learning advanced defence skills.
According to Assam Rifles officials, the initiative was undertaken to bridge the gap between the armed forces and the youth while nurturing future leaders and responsible citizens. The force reiterated its commitment to empowering young minds through such experiential learning programmes and fostering a spirit of patriotism and service to the nation.
