“Welcome To The Jungle” set for massive nationwide release with aggressive show allocation strategy

The upcoming Hindi multi-starrer Welcome To The Jungle is gearing up for one of the widest theatrical releases in recent times, with distributor Star Studio18 reportedly instructing exhibitors to allocate an unusually high number of shows across cinemas of all sizes.

According to communication sent to theatre owners, single-screen cinemas are expected to dedicate all available showtimes to the film. In multiplexes, the demands scale sharply with screen count: two-screen properties are asked to schedule 7–8 shows, three-screen cinemas 9–10 shows, four-screen multiplexes 11–12 shows, and five-screen venues 13–14 shows for the film. In six-screen multiplexes, the requirement rises to 15–16 shows in total, while properties with more than six screens have been asked to run approximately three shows per screen.

The strategy indicates a strong push for maximum screen dominance during the opening phase, a common tactic for big-budget Bollywood releases aiming to capitalize on opening weekend demand. Industry observers suggest the approach is designed to ensure wide availability and minimize competition from other releases during the film’s debut.

The scale of the release plan underscores the high expectations surrounding Welcome To The Jungle, which is positioned as one of the major ensemble entertainers of the year.
