India Junior Women’s Hockey Team Named for UK Exposure Tour

Hockey India has announced a 24-member Indian junior women’s hockey squad for an exposure tour of the United Kingdom from July 5 to 14. The tour will serve as an important preparation phase for upcoming international events, including the Junior Asia Cup, and marks the team’s first major overseas assignment under newly appointed coach Tim White.
Midfielder Khaidem Shileima Chanu will lead the side as captain. The squad includes goalkeepers Nidhi and Engil Harsha Rani Minz, along with a balanced mix of defenders, midfielders and forwards selected to gain valuable international experience.
India will begin the tour with two matches against the Scotland senior women’s team in Edinburgh on July 5 and 6. The team will then travel to Lilleshall in England, where it will face the United States U-21, England U-21 and Belgium U-21 teams in five additional matches.
