Free Fire Insurance for Medicine Traders as Chemists' Body Honours MLA Abhishek Debroy

Free fire insurance certificates were handed over to scores of medicine traders in Tripura on Wednesday, as the Tripura Chemist and Druggist Association (TCDA) held a programme that not only continued its ongoing welfare drive for members but also extended formal congratulations to Mata Bari MLA Abhishek Debroy on his elevation as State President of the world's largest political party.
In its official statement, the association underlined its broader purpose beyond trade matters. "Apart from being a trade body, TCDA regularly undertakes social welfare activities for the general public as well as its permanent members," the communication read.
It is learned that the free fire insurance initiative was first launched at TCDA's Annual General Meeting on 25th December 2025. Wednesday's event marked a continuation of that effort, with additional members receiving coverage at no cost whatsoever.
Meanwhile, General Secretary Satyabrata Debnath, who led the proceedings alongside his committee, gave a firm assurance to members. "Every effort will be made to ensure that this fire insurance programme continues in the days ahead," the association pledged.
The event saw strong participation from President Sudip Roy, Treasurer Gaur Banik, EC Members Sudhan Debnath, Jagannath Das, Harinarayan Ghosh, Probir Sharma, Ajit Ghosh, Subrata Banik, Arnab Datta, and a large gathering of medicine traders from across the state.
