The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a red alert for extremely heavy rainfall at isolated places over Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim until tomorrow.
According to the weather agency, intense rainfall activity is expected to continue in the region, raising the risk of flash floods, landslides, waterlogging, and disruptions to transportation and daily life.
The IMD has advised residents and travelers to remain vigilant and follow updates issued by local authorities. People living in vulnerable and low-lying areas have been urged to take necessary precautions.
