West Tripura Administration Finalizes Arrangements for NEET UG Re-Examination


The West Tripura District Administration has finalized all necessary preparations to ensure a secure and hassle-free environment for candidates appearing in the NEET (UG)-2026 re-examination this Sunday, following a comprehensive review meeting led by the NTA Director General on June 20.

The high-level review was conducted via video conferencing at 3:00 PM on Saturday. The primary objective of the meeting was to oversee arrangements in the West Tripura and Dhalai districts, where the re-examination is scheduled to take place.

Officials focused on critical parameters including examination center readiness, security deployment, transport facilities, and stakeholder coordination.

From the District Headquarters in Agartala, the meeting saw active participation from senior state leadership. Ravel Hamendra Kumar, IAS, Special Secretary of Higher Education for the Government of Tripura, attended the session alongside the District Magistrate and Collector of West Tripura, Vishal Kumar.

The West Tripura District Superintendent of Police Namit Pathak and various Centre Coordinators were also present during the virtual briefing.

According to district administration officials, there is a strong emphasis on maintaining a student-centric approach. Local authorities stated that they are fully committed to providing a safe and conducive environment.

They announced that all steps have been taken for the "successful and hassle-free conduct of the examination" to safeguard the interests of the candidates.
