Over 80 students from 15 institutions nationwide join Tripura DIT's Internship Programme 2026


As many as 80 students from over 15 universities and institutions across India have participated in the Internship Programme 2026 being conducted by the Directorate of Information Technology, Government of Tripura, reflecting what the department describes as growing interest among young talent in Tripura's evolving IT ecosystem.

The programme is designed to provide college students with practical exposure, hands-on experience and industry-oriented learning in emerging areas of information technology. Participants are receiving guidance and mentorship from experienced IT professionals and officers across specialised domains including Software and Application Development, Networking, and Cyber Security.

Jeya Ragul Geshan B, IFS, Director of Information Technology, Government of Tripura, interacted with the interns during the programme. He encouraged them to actively participate in the training and make the most of the opportunity to expand their knowledge and professional capabilities, and extended his best wishes for their learning journey and future endeavours.

The Directorate of Information Technology stated that it remains committed to nurturing young talent and promoting skill development opportunities for students across the state. Officials noted that the strong turnout from institutions spread across the country underlines the relevance and reach of the programme.
