IMD Forecasts Heavy Rainfall Across Northeast India and West Bengal


The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast isolated heavy to very heavy rainfall over Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim, Arunachal Pradesh, Assam and Meghalaya during the next six to seven days.

According to the weather agency, several parts of Northeast India and West Bengal are likely to experience heavy rainfall today. The IMD has also stated that conditions remain favourable for the further advance of the southwest monsoon into more parts of Maharashtra, Karnataka, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, West Bengal, Odisha, Jharkhand, Bihar and southern Chhattisgarh over the next four to five days.
