IAF Mourns Loss of Five Personnel in AN-32 Crash


An AN-32 transport aircraft of the Indian Air Force (IAF) crashed during a routine sortie at the Jorhat Air Force Station in Assam on Saturday morning, claiming the lives of five air force personnel.

In a statement, the IAF expressed deep grief over the loss of Squadron Leader Prashant Singh, Flight Lieutenant Shubham Kumar, Sergeant Jitendra Sharma, Agniveervayu Khemaram Kumawat, and Agniveervayu Danish Alam.

The Air Force extended its heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families and assured them of its support during this difficult time.

The IAF said crash-site management operations and preliminary investigations are currently underway. It also urged the public to refrain from speculation until the initial inquiry into the accident is completed.
