CM Manik Saha Congratulates PM Modi on 12 Years in Office, Hails Transformative Impact on Tripura

Chief Minister Prof. (Dr.) Manik Saha has congratulated Prime Minister Narendra Modi on completing twelve years as the Prime Minister of India and becoming the country’s longest-serving elected Prime Minister, while expressing gratitude for the transformative changes brought to Tripura under his leadership.

In a letter addressed to the Prime Minister and shared on his social media handle on Wednesday, Dr. Saha conveyed the gratitude of the people of Tripura, stating that the Prime Minister’s vision of “Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas and Sabka Prayas” has evolved from a slogan into a lived reality for millions across the country.

The Chief Minister highlighted that Tripura has witnessed remarkable progress through various flagship schemes and development initiatives of the Central Government. He noted that families who once struggled for basic necessities now benefit from pucca houses, improved healthcare through Ayushman Bharat, financial inclusion programmes and opportunities in the digital economy. He also emphasized the empowerment of women through Self-Help Groups and increased opportunities for youth in education, employment and connectivity.

Dr. Saha particularly praised the Prime Minister’s HIRA (Highways, Internetways, Railways and Airways) model, describing it as a game-changer for Tripura’s development. “What was once a landlocked and geographically constrained state has today transformed into a vibrant gateway to Southeast Asia through modern infrastructure, enhanced connectivity and expanding opportunities,” he wrote.

The Chief Minister further stated that under Prime Minister Modi’s leadership, the North East has become an integral part of India’s development journey. He credited the Act East Policy, increased infrastructure investments and sustained policy attention for opening new avenues of connectivity, trade and economic growth across the region.

Referring to the Prime Minister’s visit to Tripura in September 2025 for the inauguration of the renovated Mata Tripureswari Temple Complex, Dr. Saha expressed appreciation for the Centre’s continued support in developing the Mata Tripureswari Temple Circuit. He said the initiative has strengthened the cultural pride of Tripura and contributed significantly to the state’s socio-economic development.

Reaffirming the people’s faith in the Prime Minister’s leadership, Dr. Saha said Tripura remains grateful for the profound transformation witnessed in recent years and extended his best wishes as India advances towards the vision of Viksit Bharat @2047.

The Chief Minister concluded by praying for the blessings of Mata Tripura Sundari upon the Prime Minister, wishing him strength and inspiration in his continued service to the nation.
