PM Modi Reviews Growth Strategy with Economic Advisory Council

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday chaired a meeting of the Prime Minister’s Economic Advisory Council (EAC-PM) to deliberate on measures aimed at further strengthening India’s economic growth amid ongoing global uncertainties.
During the meeting, the Prime Minister and council members discussed a range of policy ideas and strategic interventions to sustain India’s growth momentum at a time of heightened geopolitical and economic turbulence worldwide. The discussions focused on enhancing macroeconomic stability while ensuring continued progress across key sectors.
A significant portion of the meeting was devoted to reforms designed to improve the ease of living for citizens and the ease of doing business for investors and enterprises. The Council emphasized the importance of structural reforms, regulatory simplification, and policy support to attract investment, boost job creation, and strengthen domestic demand.
Members of the Council also shared their assessment of the potential impact of the ongoing West Asia conflict on India and the global economy. Particular attention was given to possible disruptions in energy supplies, trade flows, and financial markets, and the need for preparedness to mitigate any adverse effects.
