MoS Dr L. Murugan Urges Public Participation in Viksit Bharat Mission


Union Minister of State for Information & Broadcasting and Parliamentary Affairs, Dr. L. Murugan, has called upon the people of Mizoram to actively participate in nation-building efforts and contribute towards the vision of a developed India by 2047 under the Viksit Bharat initiative.

Addressing government officials during an interaction in Kolasib district, the Minister said that the Central Government places high priority on the development of the North East region. He stressed the importance of collective efforts in achieving the goals of Viksit Bharat 2047.

Dr. Murugan praised Mizoram for its focus on sports and women’s empowerment, describing both sectors as key drivers of social progress and development. He also expressed confidence that the upcoming railway line connecting Bairabi and Sairang would enhance connectivity and accelerate economic growth in the state.

Highlighting Mizoram’s scenic landscapes and tourism potential, the Minister said he had encouraged filmmakers from across the country to consider the state as a filming destination. He further urged officials to take proactive measures to attract more tourists and promote Mizoram’s natural beauty to a wider audience.
