Minister Tinku Roy urges renewed drive for Antyodaya

Minister for Youth Affairs & Sports, Social Welfare & Social Education, and Labour Tinku Roy on Tuesday took part in the Mandal Training Class organised by the BJP’s Bishalgarh Mandal as part of the Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay Training Mahabhiyaan. The event, attended by party workers and local leaders, aimed to familiarise participants with the organisation’s ideology, philosophy and public-welfare programmes.
Speaking to trainees, Roy highlighted the enduring relevance of Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay’s principle of “Antyodaya” — the upliftment of the last person — and called on cadre at every level to translate that ideal into tangible action. “Our work must be guided by service, responsibility and a commitment to uplift the poorest and most marginalised,” he said, urging workers to increase dedication, build confidence and uphold accountability in all outreach efforts.
The session included discussions on the party’s welfare initiatives, grassroots mobilisation strategies and ways to strengthen public service delivery. Roy encouraged trainees to adopt compassionate governance practices and to prioritise programmes that directly benefit vulnerable communities. Organisers said the training is part of a wider statewide push to deepen organisational understanding and enhance the effectiveness of welfare-oriented programmes.
