BJP’s Double-Engine Government Empowers Women, Says Minister Sushanta Chowdhury

Minister for Food, Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs, Transport and Tourism Sushanta Chowdhury on Saturday lauded the BJP’s “double-engine” government for prioritizing women’s empowerment. Addressing a women’s wing conference at Birendranagar School ground in Majlishpur, he said the state and central governments’ focused policies have helped a large number of women become self-reliant across multiple sectors.
“The double-engine BJP government has placed the highest importance on women’s empowerment,” Mr. Chowdhury said, adding that the results are visible in rising self-sufficiency among mothers and sisters in the community. He praised the spontaneous enthusiasm and encouragement shown by attendees at the conference, saying it proves the public’s continued trust in the double-engine government and thwarts the efforts of its detractors.
The event was attended by notable local leaders including Agartala Municipal Corporation Mayor and MLA Dipak Majumdar, Majlishpur mandal president Ranjit Roy Chowdhury, and senior leaders of the BJP Mahila Morcha.
