Union Minister Amit Shah Reaffirms Crackdown on Illegal Immigration

Union Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah on Thursday reiterated the Centre’s commitment to identifying and deporting illegal immigrants from the country, stressing that border security remains a top priority for the government.
Addressing a public rally in Gandhinagar after inaugurating and laying the foundation stone for development projects worth ₹340 crore, Mr. Shah said the government is determined to strengthen border management and eliminate illegal immigration.
The Home Minister also praised the West Bengal government for allocating 600 hectares of land to the Border Security Force within a week, calling it a significant step towards enhancing border infrastructure.
Paying tribute to Vinayak Damodar Savarkar on his birth anniversary, Mr. Shah highlighted Savarkar’s sacrifice and lifelong dedication to the nation.
As part of his three-day visit to Gujarat, the minister inaugurated several public welfare projects developed under corporate social responsibility initiatives, including a village lake redevelopment project, libraries, and new primary school buildings.
