Minister Sudhangshu Das Chairs Review Meet on SC Welfare, Fisheries and Animal Resources Development

Minister for Scheduled Caste (SC) Welfare, Fisheries, and Animal Resources Development, Sudhangshu Das, chaired a high‑level review meeting on Saturday at his official residence here, bringing together the Secretary, Directors, and senior officials of the Animal Resources Development Department (ARDD), SC Welfare, and Fisheries Departments.
Das oversaw a detailed discussion on the progress of ongoing projects and welfare schemes across the three portfolios, with a strong emphasis on ensuring smooth and time‑bound implementation at the grassroots level. He directed officials to strengthen field‑level monitoring, address administrative bottlenecks, and ensure that all eligible beneficiaries receive their entitled benefits without delay.
The minister also instructed department heads to expedite pending works, maintain transparency in fund utilisation, and prioritise livelihood‑oriented schemes in fisheries and animal husbandry as part of the state government’s broader push for rural development.
