From Bengal to Assam, BJP Momentum Continues: CM Dr Manik Saha

Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha on Monday expressed strong confidence in the Bharatiya Janata Party’s growing political influence across Eastern India, saying the party’s recent victories have created an atmosphere of enthusiasm and optimism nationwide.
Saha said the BJP’s continued electoral success in several states reflects the people’s trust in the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the party’s governance model.
“The entire country is witnessing a positive atmosphere. People are happy, and there is tremendous enthusiasm among party workers and supporters as BJP continues to register victories in different states,” Saha said.
The Chief Minister arrived in Assam to attend the swearing-in ceremony of Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, who is scheduled to take oath for a second consecutive term on May 12. Saha also referred to his recent visit to West Bengal, where he attended the oath-taking ceremony of senior BJP leader Suvendu Adhikari.
Highlighting the BJP’s performance in Tripura, Saha asserted that the party remains firmly positioned in the state and expressed confidence about returning to power in the 2028 Assembly elections.
“We have already formed the government in Tripura twice, and we are confident that the BJP will once again secure victory in the next Assembly elections,” he said.
Meanwhile, preparations are underway in Guwahati for the oath-taking ceremony of Himanta Biswa Sarma after the BJP secured a decisive mandate in the Assam Assembly elections.
The swearing-in ceremony will be held at Veterinary College Field in Khanapara, Guwahati, at 11:40 am on May 12.
