BJP Plans Grand Swearing-In Ceremony at Kolkata’s Brigade Parade Ground on May 9

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is reportedly preparing to hold a grand swearing-in ceremony for a new government in West Bengal on May 9 at the historic Brigade Parade Ground.

State BJP president Samik Bhattacharya stated that the ceremony is scheduled to begin at 10 a.m. Party sources indicate that the event is expected to witness the presence of several senior leaders, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah, along with Chief Ministers from BJP-ruled states.

The selection of Brigade Parade Ground as the venue carries symbolic significance, as it has long been associated with major political rallies and mass mobilisations in the state. The anticipated presence of top national leaders highlights the importance the party is placing on the occasion.
