Biplab Deb Gets Grand Welcome after BJP’s Bengal Victory Push

Former Tripura Chief Minister and sitting Lok Sabha MP from West Tripura, Biplab Kumar Deb, received a grand welcome at Maharaja Bir Bikram Airport on Tuesday as he returned from West Bengal after playing a key role in the Bharatiya Janata Party’s successful election campaign.

The airport witnessed scenes of celebration, with party workers greeting Deb with drumbeats, slogans, flower petals, and large garlands. Senior leaders and supporters gathered in significant numbers to acknowledge his contribution to the party’s victory.

Addressing the media, Deb struck a confident note, reiterating his earlier statement that “there is no defeat in my Kundali.” He asserted that the All India Trinamool Congress is now “a gone case,” adding that the people of West Bengal have delivered a decisive mandate in favour of development.

He said the electoral outcome reflects a rejection of what he termed politics driven by fear, appeasement, and misgovernance. Deb also extended congratulations to the people of the state and lauded party workers for their dedication during the campaign.

Crediting the party’s success to strong leadership, he highlighted the role of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, and BJP National President Nitin Nabin in steering the campaign to victory.
