PM Modi Condemns Fujairah Attack, Calls for Peace


Prime Minister Narendra Modi has strongly condemned the recent attack in the UAE’s Fujairah that left three Indian nationals injured. In a statement, he said that targeting civilians and critical infrastructure is unacceptable and reiterated that India stands in firm solidarity with the United Arab Emirates.

The incident occurred at the Fujairah Petroleum Industries Zone, where a fire broke out following a reported drone attack. The injured Indian nationals are currently receiving medical care.

Emphasizing the need for stability, Mr. Modi highlighted the importance of ensuring safe and uninterrupted navigation through the Strait of Hormuz, calling it vital for regional peace, global energy security, and economic stability.

Earlier, the Ministry of External Affairs also condemned the attack, describing it as unacceptable and urging an immediate cessation of hostilities. The ministry reiterated India’s consistent position that dialogue and diplomacy remain the only viable path to resolving conflicts in the region.

India further called for the protection of civilian lives and infrastructure, while affirming its readiness to support all efforts aimed at restoring peace and stability across West Asia.
