Buddha Purnima: Tripura Guv, CM Share Peace Message


Agartala, May 1: Tripura Governor Indra Sena Reddy Nallu and Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha extended warm greetings to the state's residents on the auspicious occasion of Buddha Purnima, emphasizing Lord Buddha's teachings of peace and compassion.

In a social media post on Friday, Governor Nallu described the day as a sacred commemoration of Gautama Buddha's birth, enlightenment, and parinirvana. "It is a time for spiritual reflection, peace, and deepening one's connection to his path of inner peace, compassion, and wisdom," he wrote.

Chief Minister Saha echoed the sentiment in Bengali on his handle, wishing "sincere greetings, best wishes, and congratulations" to Buddhist communities and all Tripura residents. He prayed that Buddha's message of peace, empathy, and humanity inspire lives and foster greater harmony and unity in society.

The greetings come as celebrations unfold across the state, underscoring Buddhism's cultural significance in the Northeast.
