India–New Zealand FTA a Landmark Step, Says S. Jaishankar

External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar on Monday welcomed the signing of the Free Trade Agreement (FTA) between India and New Zealand, calling it a landmark development in bilateral relations.
In a post on social media, the External Affairs Minister said the agreement would help forge stronger economic partnerships between the two countries. He noted that the FTA is expected to boost investments and improve market access for Indian exporters.
Jaishankar further highlighted that the agreement would open up new opportunities for innovators, entrepreneurs, farmers, micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs), as well as women and youth.
Describing the deal as a significant milestone, he said the FTA would deepen economic engagement and strengthen ties between India and New Zealand across multiple sectors.
