BJP Marks Breakthrough in TTAADC Polls with Vote Surge, 4 Seats

Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha on Saturday hailed a “historic” performance by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in the elections to the Tripura Tribal Areas Autonomous District Council (TTAADC), where the party contested independently for the first time.
The BJP secured victory in four seats and recorded a significant rise in its vote share, which increased by nearly 8 percentage points to 27.44 percent. The Chief Minister described the outcome as a major milestone for the party’s expanding footprint in tribal areas of Tripura.
Addressing a meeting at the state BJP office in Agartala, attended by both winning and defeated candidates, Saha expressed gratitude to voters for their support despite what he termed sustained attacks from political opponents. He congratulated the successful candidates and urged them to work for the welfare of the people and effectively represent public concerns in the council.
Among those present at the meeting were state BJP president and Rajya Sabha MP Rajib Bhattacharjee, ministers Pranajit Singha Roy and Santana Chakma, as well as senior organizational leaders including Ravindra Raju.
