CM Manik Saha Vows Justice for Post-Poll Violence Victims

Chief Minister Prof. Dr. Manik Saha on Wednesday personally visited the residences of four victims of post-election violence in Sipahijala district, underscoring the state government's unwavering commitment to their safety and support.
Dr. Saha met with Anil Kumar Debbarma, Suresh Debbarma, Khaken Debbarma, and Jawaharlal Debbarma, who were affected by the unrest following the recent Tripura Tribal Areas Autonomous District Council (TTAADC) elections held on April 12, with results declared around April 17. During the heartfelt interactions, the Chief Minister inquired about their well-being, offered reassurance during this challenging period, and pledged that the administration would stand firmly by the affected families.
"This government is always with the families who have been targeted," Dr. Saha emphasized, vowing to take all necessary steps to ensure peace, security, and justice in the region. His proactive visit highlights his hands-on approach to addressing election-related tensions, building on previous instances where he has visited victims and promised strict action against perpetrators.
The Tripura government has also demonstrated tangible support, recently sanctioning Rs 64.5 lakh in aid for 258 families impacted by post-poll violence. Dr. Saha's actions serve as a strong signal of resolve amid reports of pre- and post-poll clashes, reinforcing stability in the tribal areas.
