India Marks Pahalgam Attack Anniversary with Tributes

On the first anniversary of the Pahalgam terror attack, top Indian leaders paid heartfelt tributes to the victims and reaffirmed the nation’s unwavering resolve against terrorism.
President Droupadi Murmu said the tragic loss of innocent lives remains deeply etched in the country’s collective memory. She expressed condolences to the bereaved families and emphasized that India remains determined to defeat terrorism in all its forms.
Vice President C. P. Radhakrishnan also remembered the victims, stating that their loss continues to weigh heavily on the nation. He said India stands in solidarity with the families and stressed that such acts of brutality cannot shake the country’s commitment to peace, unity, and humanity.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi said India will never bow to terror and that the designs of terrorists will never succeed. Remembering the victims, he noted that the nation stands united in both grief and resolve, while extending his thoughts to the affected families.
Defence Minister Rajnath Singh highlighted that India’s response to terrorism today is firm and decisive. He said the nation shares the enduring pain of the victims’ families and will never forget the wounds inflicted by such attacks.
Home Minister Amit Shah described terrorism as the greatest enemy of humanity and reiterated India’s zero-tolerance policy. He urged citizens to stand united against terror.
External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar also called on people to remember the victims, underscoring India’s steadfast commitment to combating terrorism in all its forms.
