Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha on Tuesday visited the vandalized residence of BJP youth worker Dhiraj Debbarma in Hezamara, following alleged post-election violence after the TTAADC results.
According to sources, the house was reportedly attacked and damaged by workers of the Tipra Motha Party in the aftermath of the polls. The incident has raised concerns over rising tensions in the tribal areas.
Sharing the update on his official social media handle, the Chief Minister said he met the victim’s family and assured them of full support. He stated that the government would take all necessary steps to rebuild the damaged home, provide financial assistance, and ensure that those responsible are brought to justice.
The incident highlights growing unease following the council elections, with BJP leaders alleging that several of their workers have been targeted. Some reportedly fled to Agartala fearing further attacks.
Dr. Saha’s visit is being seen as a strong message of support for party workers and a commitment to maintaining law and order amid emerging political strains.
