Minister Sushanta Chowdhury Reviews Essential Supplies, Boosts Public Distribution System

Minister for Food, Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs, Transport and Tourism, Sushanta Chowdhury, chaired a high-level review meeting at the Secretariat's Conference Hall on Saturday to strengthen the state's public distribution system and ensure smooth supply of essential commodities.
The Department of Food, Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs reaffirmed its commitment to making the system more robust and people-centric, extending its benefits to every corner of the state.
During the meeting, attended by the department's secretary, director, and other senior officials, Minister Chowdhury reviewed current stock levels of critical items, including petrol, diesel, LPG, and other essentials. Discussions focused on efficient distribution through ration shops and measures to guarantee easy access for the general public.
The minister issued necessary directives and advice to enhance supply chain efficiency and address any potential shortages.
