Iran’s IRGC Launches 78th Wave of Strikes on Israel and U.S. Bases

Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) announced today that it carried out the 78th wave of retaliatory strikes against Israeli and U.S. targets as part of Operation True Promise 4. According to the IRGC, ballistic missiles, including Emad and Qadr, along with combat drones, targeted Israeli sites in Eilat, Dimona, and northern Tel Aviv, as well as multiple U.S. military bases in the region. The operation was reportedly dedicated to the people of Iran’s eastern provinces.

Israeli authorities confirmed that air defense systems intercepted several incoming projectiles over central Israel, lighting up the skies as part of ongoing defense measures.

Separately, a spokesperson for Iran’s Khatam al-Anbia Central Headquarters denied reports that Tehran plans to lay mines in the Persian Gulf, stating that Iran maintains full control of the Strait of Hormuz and nearby waters and has the capability to ensure maritime security without deploying mines.

Iranian media also reported strikes on domestic energy infrastructure. In Isfahan, a gas administration building and pressure reduction station were damaged, while in Khorramshahr, a projectile struck near a natural gas pipeline linked to a power plant. Officials confirmed there were no casualties and essential services, including electricity, were unaffected.

This latest wave of strikes is part of a continuing escalation between Iran, Israel, and U.S. forces in the region, with Iran emphasizing that its campaign is “impact-driven” and ongoing.
