Afghanistan Warns of “Teeth-Breaking” Response to Alleged Pakistani Airstrikes
Mar 17, 2026
Afghanistan has issued a strong warning to Pakistan following alleged airstrikes on its territory, including the capital, Kabul. Afghan officials described the attacks as a serious escalation and a violation of national sovereignty.
Interior Ministry spokesperson Abdul Matin Qane said the strikes “cannot go unanswered,” warning of a “teeth-breaking response” if such actions continue. He emphasized that Afghanistan views the air raids as a direct breach of international norms and territorial integrity.
According to Afghan authorities, the strikes were not limited to Kabul but also targeted several provinces, including Kandahar, Paktika, Khost, and Nangarhar. An oil depot in Kandahar was reportedly among the sites hit during the operations.
The developments mark a sharp rise in tensions between the two neighboring countries, which have long had strained relations over border security and militant activity. There has been no immediate official response from Pakistan regarding the allegations.
