Former AIFF General Secretary Kushal Das Passes Away at 66

Former General Secretary of the All India Football Federation (AIFF), Kushal Das, passed away on Friday at the age of 66.
A Chartered Accountant by profession, Das brought significant experience in sports management and administration to Indian football. Before joining the AIFF, he served as the Chief Financial Officer of the International Cricket Council (ICC) in Dubai, gaining valuable international experience in sports governance.
Das took charge as the General Secretary of the AIFF in November 2010 and served in the role until 2022. During his tenure of more than a decade, he oversaw several key initiatives and structural developments that helped strengthen and raise the profile of football in India.
The AIFF expressed deep sorrow over his passing. AIFF President Kalyan Chaubey extended condolences to Das’s family and loved ones on behalf of the entire Indian football fraternity.
