Pakistan Conducts Fresh Airstrikes Across Afghan Provinces, Taliban Alleges Civilian Casualties

Pakistan has reportedly carried out fresh military strikes across several Afghan provinces, including Kabul, Kandahar, Paktia, and Paktika, according to Taliban officials on Friday. The attacks have heightened tensions along the Afghanistan–Pakistan border.

Taliban spokesperson Zabihullah Mujahid said Pakistani military aircraft conducted the strikes, targeting multiple locations across the country. He alleged that the attacks hit civilian homes in some areas, resulting in the deaths of women and children, while other strikes reportedly targeted deserted and uninhabited regions.

Mujahid also claimed that the airstrikes caused a fire at a fuel storage facility belonging to Kam Air, a private Afghan airline, near Kandahar International Airport.

The Taliban administration strongly condemned the strikes, calling them a violation of Afghanistan’s sovereignty and accusing Pakistan of continuing a pattern of cross-border aggression.

There has been no immediate official response from Pakistani authorities regarding the latest allegations. Tensions between the two neighbors have remained high in recent years, largely due to security concerns and accusations by Pakistan that militant groups are operating from Afghan territory.
