Minister Tinku Roy Launches Digital Platform for Construction Workers’ Welfare
Mar 11, 2026Minister for Youth Affairs & Sports, Social Welfare & Social Education, and Labour Tinku Roy on Wednesday inaugurated a web and mobile app–based service for the Construction Workers’ Welfare Scheme, an initiative of the Labour Department aimed at strengthening labour welfare and improving service delivery through digital technology.
The newly launched digital platform will enable construction workers to easily register themselves and access various welfare benefits online. Through the web portal and mobile application, workers will be able to apply for schemes, submit necessary documents, and avail different services in a faster, more transparent, and hassle-free manner.
Highlighting the significance of the initiative, the minister said the introduction of the digital system will simplify procedures and ensure that eligible workers receive their benefits without delays. The platform is expected to improve transparency, efficiency, and accessibility in delivering welfare services to construction workers across the state.
The initiative is considered an important step toward empowering workers and ensuring their rights and welfare benefits through modern digital solutions.
