Minister Tinku Roy Holds Key Pre-Budget Meeting with Finance Minister
Mar 02, 2026Ahead of the 2026–27 Budget Session, Minister for Youth Affairs & Sports, Social Welfare & Social Education, and Labour, Tinku Roy, on Monday attended an important meeting at the State Secretariat with Finance Minister Pranajit Singha Roy.
The meeting centered on reviewing the Revised Estimates for the financial year 2025–26 and formulating the Budget Estimates for 2026–27. A comprehensive assessment of the projected income and expenditure under the Youth Affairs & Sports, Social Welfare & Social Education, and Labour Departments was carried out.
Minister Tinku Roy presented detailed proposals regarding financial allocations required for ongoing schemes, upcoming projects, and various welfare-oriented initiatives under the concerned departments. Necessary data and justifications were shared with the Finance Minister to ensure effective planning and implementation.
Following the meeting, Tinku Roy expressed confidence that the constructive discussions would help in framing a strong and well-coordinated financial roadmap, accelerating development initiatives and enhancing public service delivery in the coming financial year.
