PM Modi Launches ₹4,400 Crore Infrastructure Projects in Tamil Nadu

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday inaugurated, dedicated to the nation, and laid the foundation stone for infrastructure projects worth over ₹4,400 crore in Madurai, Tamil Nadu.
Among the key initiatives are three new FM relay transmitters of Akashvani to be set up in Kumbakonam, Yercaud and Vellore. The transmitters are expected to expand regional coverage, ensure uninterrupted FM broadcasting, and enhance access to public broadcasting services across multiple districts in the state.
Addressing a rally of the National Democratic Alliance, the Prime Minister described the projects as a proud milestone in Tamil Nadu’s development journey. He said the initiatives would significantly improve connectivity, boost economic activity, create employment opportunities, and positively impact the lives of lakhs of people.
Highlighting the benefits, Mr. Modi said better roads would help farmers transport produce to markets more efficiently, ease travel for tourists and pilgrims, and facilitate faster movement of goods for businesses, thereby strengthening the state’s overall growth.
