Rajib Bhattacharjee Attends Launch of National HPV Vaccination Drive in Tripura

Member of Parliament Rajib Bhattacharjee on Saturday attended the state-level inauguration of the National HPV Vaccination Campaign at Indira Gandhi Memorial Hospital (IGM) in Agartala.

The campaign, launched nationally under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, aims to prevent cervical cancer by providing Human Papillomavirus (HPV) vaccination to eligible girls and women.

Highlighting the importance of the initiative, Rajib Bhattacharjee said that the HPV vaccination programme would mark a major step forward in protecting the health and future of Tripura’s daughters and women. He emphasised that cervical cancer remains one of the leading health threats to women, and preventive measures like vaccination are crucial in reducing its impact.

He further stated that the state government is committed to building a healthier and more aware Tripura through proactive healthcare initiatives. Calling for public participation and cooperation, the MP expressed hope that the campaign would be successfully implemented across the state, ensuring wider coverage and long-term benefits for women’s health.
