CM Manik Saha Launches State Innovation Mission ‘T-NEST’
Feb 26, 2026In a significant boost to Tripura’s IT and start-up ecosystem, Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha on Thursday launched the country’s first State Innovation Mission — T-NEST (Tripura: Nurturing Entrepreneurship and Start-ups) — at a grand ceremony held at the International Exhibition Centre, Hapania.
Highlighting the importance of innovation-driven growth, the Chief Minister said the Tripura State Innovation Mission will play a transformative role in nurturing young talent, encouraging entrepreneurship, and promoting the adoption of cutting-edge technologies across the state. Supported by the Atal Innovation Mission, T-NEST aims to create a robust ecosystem that will help translate innovative ideas into impactful and scalable ventures.
Dr. Saha emphasized that the initiative reflects the state government’s commitment to strengthening Tripura’s digital infrastructure and positioning the state as a growing hub for innovation in the Northeast. He stated that structured mentorship, institutional support, and improved access to funding under T-NEST will empower aspiring entrepreneurs and generate new employment opportunities.
The launch ceremony was attended by Union Minister of State Dr. Jitendra Singh, the Vice Chairman of NITI Aayog, and other distinguished dignitaries, marking the beginning of a new chapter in Tripura’s journey towards a knowledge-driven and self-reliant economy.
