CM Manik Saha Intervenes After Gurugram Student Assault, Seeks Swift Justice

Chief Minister Manik Saha on Wednesday personally intervened following the reported assault of a Tripura student in Gurugram, Haryana, seeking swift justice and comprehensive medical support for the victim.
According to initial reports, the student from Tripura was allegedly assaulted in Gurugram, leaving her seriously injured and hospitalised. The incident has sparked concern among the family members and residents of the state, prompting immediate response from the Tripura Government.
Taking up the matter at the highest level, Dr. Saha spoke with Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini and urged him to ensure a thorough investigation and strict action against those responsible. The Haryana Chief Minister assured that he would personally look into the matter and direct the authorities to take all necessary legal steps to ensure justice for the victim.
Expressing deep concern, Dr. Saha also spoke with the victim’s mother, assuring her that the Tripura Government stands firmly beside the family during this difficult time. He directed the Chief Resident Commissioner at Tripura Bhawan in Delhi to remain in constant touch with the family and extend all possible assistance, including coordination with local authorities and hospital management.
On the Chief Minister’s request, Tripura Social Welfare Minister Tinku Roy visited the hospital in Gurugram to assess the student’s condition and ensure that she is receiving proper treatment. The minister interacted with doctors and hospital officials and conveyed the state government’s commitment to the victim’s recovery and well-being.
Furthermore, Dr. Saha communicated with the office of the Union Health Minister to facilitate the best available medical care for the injured student.
