Briefing the media on Wednesday, Acting Speaker Ramprasad Paul said the initiative is aimed at strengthening democratic values and reinforcing the accountability of elected representatives to the public. He emphasised that the fundamental role of Parliament and State Legislatures is to represent citizens and uphold public interest, which forms the cornerstone of democracy.
