The 6th National Rafting Championship, titled “The Ultimate River Battle,” commenced today at Shibnote in Doda district of Jammu and Kashmir. The four-day event is set against the scenic backdrop of the Chenab River and has drawn professional rafting teams, adventure enthusiasts, and tourists from across the country.

The championship aims to showcase top rafting talent while promoting adventure tourism in the region. Known for its challenging rapids and breathtaking landscape, the Chenab River offers ideal conditions for competitive rafting, testing participants’ endurance, teamwork, and navigation skills.

Organised by the Jammu & Kashmir Tourism Department in collaboration with the Doda District Administration, the event is being seen as a significant step toward positioning Jammu & Kashmir as a premier adventure tourism hub.
